Best Practices
Latin American Space Challenge highly recommend all participantes to read all best practices, including basic information, important recommendations, warnings and prohibitions.
See you at the Cape Canavial!
Basic information for all Spectators, Rocketeers, Satelliteers, Staff and Volunteers:
Cape Canavial may have temperatures from 15ºC to 35°C.
There may be rain during the event.
Wildlife is present, such as mosquitoes, small spiders and scorpions.
If intends to use Walkie Talkies or UAVs, contact LASC Organization during Day 1 of activities.
If you need any help, feel free to ask those who have the “Staff” or “Operatios Control” badges.
Important Recommendations:
Drink lots of water and beverages! There will be an on-site Food Court.
Sunscreen, sunglasses and hats are highly recommended.
Use long pants, closed shoes and insect repellent.
Read completely all LASC Documentation System.
Bring your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Warnings and Prohibitions
Warnings for all teams participating in the Rocket Challenge:
Electrical supply is not guaranteed at the Rocket Assembly Area (RAA).
Do not assemble motors, ejection charges and igniters before LASC Officials authorization.
Do not transport loaded motors on cars, bus, vans, etc.
Prohibitions:
Any type of alcohol, smoking, or drugs.
Cooking onsite or any type of food delivery.
Coolers, filled gallons or bottles with liquids other than water are prohibited.
Artificial noisemakers (e.g. JBL).
Armed pyrotechnic/pyrogenic or under high tension/pressure equipment prior launch operations.
Operate a rocket to arm or with armed pyrotechnic/pyrogenic or under high tension/pressure equipment without LASC authorization.
